What Is Information Content?
The information content, self-information, surprisal, or Shannon information is a basic quantity derived from the probability of a particular event. It can be thought of as an alternative way of expressing probability, but with certain advantages in the setting of information theory. The level of surprise can be quantified by the Shannon information.
It is a basic quantity and can be seen in several other settings, such as the length of a message needed to transmit the event. The measurement of rarer events is more surprising than the more common values. Self-information is a decreasing monotonic function of the probability.
Information is transferred from an entity with the information to another entity only if the receiver has not heard of the information. The amount of information received is zero if the receiving entity knew the content of the message before it was received. The message does not convey information if the receiver's knowledge of the content is less than 100%.

The Meaning of Information
Information has meaning in some way for its receiver. Data is the information that is entered into and stored in a computer. After processing, output data can be seen as information.
Information is compiled to better understand something or to do something. Data is collected from a variety of sources. It is used in a lot of different areas.
Data can be presented in many different ways, but it can also be presented in numbers. Data can be analyzed and used to create new information that is not available from the original data. Data center managers use the data processing cycle to make data accessible and useful to users.
It is part of the data lifecycle. The data is sent to the user who uses it in a business application after it is processed in the data center. Data and information are not the same.
Data is defined as numerical and qualitative observations. Information is created when the data is presented in a way that makes sense to the recipient. Data must be processed and organized to be useful.
A Content ID System for Video Sharing on YouTube
Content ID is a system that can be used by Copyright owners to easily identify and manage their content on the internet. Videos uploaded to YouTube are scanned against a database of files submitted to us by content owners. Content in a video on YouTube matches a work that is owned by the owner of the work.
A Content ID claim is given when a match is found. Content ID is only given to owners who meet certain criteria. They need to own exclusive rights to a large amount of original material uploaded by the creator community on the video sharing website.
