Digital Storytelling: A Big Idea Video Pitch Contest

Digital Storytelling is a new term that describes the practice of everyday people who use digital tools to tell their story. Digital stories can be compelling and interactive. Digital stories are more interactive and can combine still imagery, moving imagery, sound, and text, as well as being nonlinear and have interactive features, which is important because it no longer conforms to the traditional conventions of storytellers.

Digital storytellers combine the art of telling with multimedia features such as photography, text, audio, and video. Digital tools and software make it easy to create a story. Microsoft Photos and iMovie are included in common software.

The Power of the Author

The authority and access part is the great part. They don't have to submit to the official story in order to get the information they want. Data has been freed from stories that used to contain it. They are free to learn things out of context, which means they are free of the values and judgments that a particular field of study's "keepers" may believe are necessary.

The Body Section of a Web Page

The body section should be organized into sections that cover specific ideas. Each section should be at least two paragraphs long, as you need to develop the idea or example. Readers can identify the start of a new section by using a clear topic sentence.

Readers should be able to tell the main point of a paragraph from the first few sentences. The main point might not appear until the end of the paragraph. Readers will miss the main point if it is in the middle.
