Communication Context

There will be a specific context for each type and instance of communication. Communication context will be different for a television broadcaster than for a door-to-door salesperson. The environment or human eco-system can be thought of as the communications context.

The cultural, historical, psychological, social and physical factors that affect communication are considered when determining the context of a communication. The speaker and audience expect the situation to happen again and again the past. If an individual does annual sales presentation for a client there will be certain expectations about what will happen and how things will go over time.

The speaker should be aware of both their own expectations and that of the audience, but that doesn't mean that the same thing must happen every time. One of the most important factors in communication is cultural context. Culture is related to the beliefs and values of a group.

Material presented to a group of teenage boys will be different from the material presented to a group of elderly women. The best way to present information to a group of Wall Street stock brokers will be different than the best way to present it to a group of California surfers. It is important that a speaker understands the cultural expectations of the audience.

Group Communication

Have you ever seen a group of people sitting next to each other? They are likely members of the same sports program, or just friends, but they often communicate in group.

Communication in Organization

The context of communication is usually thought of as a group of people talking to each other in a situation. Group communication is about communication among groups. Communication between two or more people is whatInterpersonal communication is about.

Organizational communication is related to internal and external. Communication is in a feedback loop. Communication begins with the sender.

It is transmitted through a method other than words. The receiver decodes the message. The receiver gives feedback to the receiver, which may or may not indicate that the message was received.

Context is the situation in which communication is taking place. There are several types of communication. Group communication is the exchange of information within a group, usually consisting of a minimum of three and maximum twenty people, with the purpose of sharing a common goal.

Group communication is different from other communication that is between the group members. Group communication can be verbal and non- verbal. Mass communication is the transmission of information to a large audience.

Mass communication is often done with the purpose of simply delivering a message, rather than exchanging information, persuading the audience, and encouraging the people to engage in the communicative process. Interpersonal communication is communication with one's self, which is also communication with the other person. They can see a scenario in which they will internally vocalize their thoughts and reflect on a situation.

Context is a basic component of human communication. It refers to the place where communication is taking place. There are several different types of communication context to consider.

You wouldn't invite someone to go out to a bar with you during a conference call with several superiors in the business world that you just met in the middle of tense discussion over closing on a large contract. You are the young person in the crowd. That's not a topic.
